In the United States, a size 14 is now regarded as the average for adult women. Therefore, for purposes of these aprons, an apron that fits U.S. sizes 12-14-16 is a Medium. U.S. sizes 8-10 are Small, U.S. sizes 18-20 are Large, and U.S. sizes 22-24 are Extra Large.

Many times it’s good to wear an apron that is a size or two bigger than your usual clothing size because the apron will, after all, be worn over your other layers of clothing and you want ease of motion as you move in your work.
