Description

Apron 51 is made with a nifty 1960s pattern that is quite flattering on the proper sized body:  one with a waist no bigger than 32-33″. There are bust darts that very much highlight a shapely bosom, a somewhat Star Trekkie V back bib, and two rectangular pockets. The tapered center front panel is pieced, that is, not all of one cut of fabric but of several, neatly stitched together. The body fabric is from a repurposed curtain in intense colors of black, rose, green and light brown dotted crosshatching (this fabric is also in apron 32). Edges are bound in new fabric black polka dots on pink.

I judge this to be for women’s size Small (8-10). I have devised an extension in the back to allow people with waistlines up to 5″ bigger than ideal to wear this apron but it doesn’t look quite as impressive.

The skirt is 23″ long at the sides.
