Description

This little shortie has to be called delightful. It’s a crossback apron with a V in the front hemline, underbust gathers, some jumbo ricrac accents, and a scalloped bib top. The crisscross straps fasten in front with a couple rose-salmon colored buttons. The slightly tulip-shaped pocket is outlined with white rick rack. The fabric is from repurposed curtains:  black background, small rose and green flowers and leaves with brown dotted crosshatching, not at all faded. The fabric feels a little like chintz.

The apron is for women’s size Small (8-10). Your waistline should probably be 30″ or less to wear this well. There is a button in the back where the straps cross, to help keep them in order. This is made from a reproduction 1940s pattern.
