Description
This is cut from a 1950s pattern. The body fabric is a crisp repurposed sheet: pale sky blue with tiny white clouds or possibly flower buds. The big square collar and pocket bands are from another repurposed sheet in shades of maroon, burnt orange and dark turquoise. Both fabrics are 100% cotton. Like many 1940s and 1950s aprons, this one has a flattering tapered center panel and a smooth A line skirt. The back straps are sewn under the back collar. There is no button; you pop the apron over your head and it stays in place.
The waistline measures 31″ around excluding ties. It’s meant to have a gap of at least 5″ between the upper back edges of the skirt. The skirt is 21″ long at the sides. It’s women’s size Medium (12-16).
Apron N80 is this style in a different size, and with different fabrics.
