Description
Both new (not repurposed) fabrics are 100% cotton in shades of purple, pink and gold. The monotone purple floral is a very tiny print, and the reverse side is scattered butterflies and blossoms in pink, gold and purple on a black background, with some metallic gold highlights. Both sides of the apron have hot pink/fuchsia rickrack edging at the neckline and around the two large pockets. The butterfly side also has the rickrack along the curved empire waistline. There are underbust gathers, a pointed front skirt, and large scalloped pockets..
This apron is modern U.S. women’s size medium 12-16. The two crisscross straps both have three buttons so the apron is quite adjustable. It’s cut from a 1940s pattern.
Garment measurements: waist can vary greatly but I’d say it’s approximately 42” when the apron fits normally. It measures 31” from top of shoulder to front hemline halfway between the center point and the side.
The apron is shown on a size 14 dress form that has these measurements: 39½” bust, 32” waist and 44” hips.
Care is machine wash with color guard detergent in warm or cold water, and line dry or machine dry on low temperature settings.
Apron N32 is this same style in a different size and in different fabric.
