Description
A tan-beige color scheme throughout this pair of reversible crisscross back aprons for a woman and a child who’d like to dress alike, edged in dark brown rickrack. The print fabric is a repurposed smooth sheet, somewhat faded or shall we say matured. The solid sides are made from two similar but not matching beige-brown fabrics. The solid fabrics are not repurposed (never used in other projects before the aprons). My thought was that as the print is moderately faded, the aprons look a little weatherbeaten like a tanned Old Westerner or pioneer. There are no stains, holes or other damages to the fabrics.
Please note that the adult apron’s solid side is a more yellow-beige while the child’s solid side is a more grey-beige color. They are made of different beige to tan fabrics but they are very closely related. Please see all five photos.
Both aprons include a large rounded patch pocket on both sides, so you have places to keep small items while you work. The crisscross backs make the aprons easy on and easy off, and very tolerant of body size differences as well as staying in place securely on your body no matter how you gyrate. Hemlines are large scallops, made more obvious with the ubiquitous brown rickrack.
GARMENT measurements: adult waistline approximately 38” (96.5cm); adult length from shoulder to hem 37” (93.5cm) at the low point of a scallop; child waistline approximately 26” (66cm); child distance from shoulder to hemline 18” (45.5cm) at high point of a scallop.
Suggested care is gentle machine or hand wash in cool or warm water, and air dry or machine dry gentle, low temperature. I recommend Color Guard Cheer or Woolite for Darks to preserve its colors.
Please see my store policies for my sizing, reasons to wear aprons, and return policy.
Aprons N73, N158 and N191 are this style in other fabrics and sizes.
