Description

Apron 24  features embroidered calves, or dogies, or mavericks, and cactus plants with pink blossoms. I consider it a 1940s color combination of pale beigey pink and dark brown, but it’s cut from a 1960s pattern. It’s flattering with a narrowed waist center panel, waistline darts and smooth skirt. The large pockets have lariat-like loops of dark brown. The back fastens with a pink button and waistline ties.

The pink fabric is repurposed from a new old sheet that was never taken out of its factory packaging, and the dark brown handmade bias is from newly bought broadcloth. Everything is 100% cotton. This is size 1960s size Medium (12-14), and modern sizes 12-16 should be able to wear it.

The waistline measures 36″; each tie is 35” long; the skirt is 20.5 long at the side; length from top of shoulder to hemline is 37.5”.

Aprons N41, N115 and N166 are this style, in different fabrics and sizes.
